We at Emerald Animal Hospital understand the concern of our clients regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to assure everyone of the steps we have been taking to keep everyone safe and healthy in our clinic during this time.
In addition to our normal protocols, we are following the practices provided in the “OSHA Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19” instruction booklet. There are a number of actions we are taking to ensure OSHA guidelines are followed. Surfaces such as doorknobs, countertops, tables, and chairs are being thoroughly wiped down after each appointment as well as every hour with a heavy-duty antiviral cleaner. The cleaner is safe for use around humans and pets. Hand sanitizer bottles are located throughout the hospital for all to use frequently. Our bathrooms are sanitized several times during the day as well. Further, any employee that feels ill would be asked to leave work immediately and stay home (with full pay) until fully recovered to keep any illness from spreading.
As always, we practice exceptional hygiene and make sure to wash our hands regularly and between each appointment. If you have any questions or concerns you would like addressed, please let us know.
