⚠️In response to COVID-19 and the need for social distancing to help protect the community, our staff and our clients, we are adjusting the way we will be seeing appointments.
In addition, the Governor has mandated that veterinarians stop performing elective surgical procedures to conserve personal protective equipment such as surgical gloves and masks. Elective procedures include spays, neuters, declaws, and dental cleanings where there are no painful/infected/broken teeth that need to be extracted. If you have a procedure scheduled in the next month for your pet we will contact you if we need to reschedule it.
For appointments please call us from your car when you arrive at 216-749-7161. A staff member will take a history over the phone and then come to your car to bring your pet into the clinic. Communication will be done by phone with the doctor after the exam is performed. Staff will bring your pet back out to your car and take payment.
Also, please call from the parking lot of you are dropping off your pet for surgery or grooming and staff will come out to your car with the paperwork to fill out. Drop off appointments are also available.
If you need to come into the clinic, we are limiting it to one adult in the building at a time.
If you are sick with a cough/fever/sore throat, have been out of the country, on a plane, or on a cruise ship in the past 2 weeks, or have known exposure to a COVID-19 positive person, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. If your pet is sick, please have a family member or friend bring your pet in. If this is not possible, please alert the staff when you make the appointment and when you arrive. You will be asked to remain in your car.
If you need to pick up medications or food for your pet please call us from the parking lot and a staff member will bring it out to your car. We ask, if possible, you pay over the phone with a credit card before arriving, otherwise staff will take your payment from your car.
All of us at Emerald Animal Hospital are dedicated to keeping both you and your pets safe and healthy. We will post updates to our protocols as they occur.
