As we look towards colder weather in the months ahead we are looking at ways to keep our staff and clients warm and safe while doing curbside service. We had hoped to be able to transition back to regular appointments, but as there is not a clear end in sight for COVID, we are continuing to do curbside service. We do not have enough room in the clinic to allow 6 feet of distance between clients and staff, or between multiple clients.
As an intermediate option we are working on remodeling an unused section of the building into a waiting room that would accommodate 2 clients at a time with 6 feet distancing. This way clients can be in the building if they wish, and the doctor and staff can speak with them in person. Masks will be required, and pets will still be taken into the main part of the clinic for their exams. We are hoping to be able to do quick recheck exams in this area once it is finished.
Everyone at Emerald Animal Hospital is dedicated to keeping both our patients and their owners safe and healthy. Please bear with us as we find better and more efficient ways to practice medicine in these uncertain times.
