March is here and warmer weather is on the way! Spending more time outside can mean more chances for your pet to become plagued by parasites! 🪱
There are five common parasites that dogs and cats can share with each other and your family. Most parasites can be found in sandboxes, dirt, potting soil. These parasites are released through an animal’s feces and their eggs can live in an environment for months.
Intestinal parasites can be detected by visiting your veterinarian at least once a year for a fecal exam. It is recommended that puppies and kittens be tested for intestinal parasites 2-4 times a year. Adult dogs and cats taking prevention medication should be tested 1-2 times a year. Dogs and cats not on prevention should be tested 2-4 times a year.
💩This month, take $5 off fecal tests for your pets!💩
