We all know that veterinarians work hard to make sure our pets are healthy and help keep them that way, but let’s not forget those that work behind the scenes as well. They are wonderful, hardworking humans with hearts as big as mountains skipping lunches and bathroom breaks to work through an emergency. They are jumping with excitement over your new puppy or kitten. They are crying over the loss of your old friend who, over time, became their old friend as well. They are rushing to get what the doctor needs to care for your beloved pet who needed surgery. In one day they can go through all the emotions…anger, sadness, joy. They put themselves through this every day to help those without a voice. No matter how tough the day before was, they will come back tomorrow just as strong. We call these people vet techs and we couldn’t do what we do without them. Let’s take this week to thank our techs for going above and beyond each and every day.
