To all our Valued Clients,
We are pleased to announce that Emerald Animal Hospital will remain OPEN as an essential healthcare service as defined by the Ohio Department of Health’s Stay at Home Order (effective Monday 3/23/2020 at 11:59 PM) throughout this pandemic or until otherwise instructed.
What This Means:
- As we posted earlier, we will continue to see appointments “curbside”. Owners are to call our hospital (216-749-7161) from the parking lot when they arrive and will then receive further instructions on our health and safety protocols. You will be asked to stay in your car with some exceptions, such as pet euthanasia.
- It would be very helpful if all clients could bring a typed or neatly-written history of any medical problems or concerns as well as a list of all current medications and supplements for your pet.
- If it is necessary to enter our hospital, we ask that only one adult come in at a time. Upon arrival, you will be asked to wash your hands immediately and may be given a mask to wear and/or a non-invasive temperature may be requested. Please alert us prior to exiting your car if you have any cough, sore throat, or fever. If you have any of these symptoms, we ask that you please send someone else with your pet and we will discuss our diagnosis over the phone with you. As a last resort, we may be able to offer telemedicine for extreme situations.
- Only non-elective surgeries will be performed until further notice. This includes emergency surgery for life threatening illness, tumor removals, dentals where tooth extractions are needed, and diagnostic procedures that require anesthesia or sedation, such as x-rays or biopsies.
- Grooming will continue to be offered under the same client conditions as stated above.
- We will continue with our extra cleaning protocols as mentioned in previous posts.
If you have any questions, please call us at 216-749-7161 or email us at ContactEAH@EmeraldAH.com.
We appreciate the trust our clients give us with their pets. We will continue to provide the highest level of care even during these unusual circumstances. Please feel free to SHARE this information so we can get the word out that our pets’ care has been protected by the State of Ohio.
Even including our pets, We Are All In This Together. #WAAITT
Sincerely,
The Staff at Emerald Animal Hospital
